Meet & Greet
Customers and children can come and meet the Very Hungry Caterpillar for a cuddle or high five. The Hungry Caterpillar Meet & Greet lets children and adults alike to get up close and personal with this lovable character for a caring cuddle and memorable photo opportunity.
Activity Centre
Activity Centre
The World of Eric Carle Craft Village is an immersive, interactive, visitor-focused event. The event is set up within a 4m x 6m space featuring artificial green grass flooring and a perimeter comprised of a mixture of artificial foliage and trees, 2-meter fencing and custom-cut Eric Carle fruit.
Visitors enter the craft village through a giant archway printed in the classic Eric Carle polka-dot pattern and lined with planter boxes full of oversized grass. A large Eric Carle plum featuring a cut-out hole for children to place their face through sits at the arch entrance, providing the perfect photo opportunity for parents. Once inside, visitors will be able to create their very own collage caterpillar or enjoy completing The World of Eric Carle colouring pages and activity sheets.
READING ZONE
Reading Zone
The World of Eric Carle Reading Zone is a charming area where children can come and participate in an interactive read-along with the Very Hungry Caterpillar and a reading host as she reads one of the beloved Eric Carle children’s books.
The Reading Zone is set up within a 4m x 3m space with an artificial green grass floor and a perimeter comprised of planter boxes with artificial apple trees, oversized grass, and a digitally printed backdrop. There is a large, soft, cushioned seat at the front of the reading zone where the host will be seated as she guides children and parents alike through a read-along of one of Eric Carle’s children’s books. Visitors will be welcomed to sit on multi-coloured reading dots and cushioned fruit boxes whilst they enjoy the read-along experience.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Scavenger Hunt
The World of Eric Carle Scavenger Hunt is an interactive event custom-tailored to specific shopping centres. The Scavenger Hunt works in conjunction with the “The World of Eric Carle” craft village.
Various pieces of Eric Carle’s Hungry Caterpillar fruit are displayed on banners positioned throughout the shopping centre. Visitors are provided with a Scavenger Hunt question sheet which requires them to locate all of the banners around the shopping centre and answer a question specific to each of the items that they find. The answer can be found at each banner location.
Once all the items are found, the visitor needs to return their completed Scavenger Hunt sheet to the craft attendant at the Craft Village. The attendant will reward them a commemorative The World of Eric Carle prize.
