Minions are yellow creatures that appear in the Despicable Me franchise, which started with Despicable Me (2010), and are characterised by their childlike behavior and unique language, which is almost intelligible at times. They are also the official mascots of Illumination, a division of Universal Pictures, which produces the films.
Showtime Attractions is proud to present Minions: The Rise of Gru activations in conjunction with the film release in 2022.

Customers and children can come and meet Stuart, Bob, George and or Kevin for a cuddle, hand shake or high five. The Minions Meet & Greet lets children and adults alike to get up close and personal with these lovable characters for a caring cuddle and memorable photo opportunity.
Activity Centre

Minions: The Rise of Gru activity village is a fully themed interactive experience. Visitors enter the 70’s inspired activation zone, walking under the psychedelic archway. The activation zone includes two Minions standees which make a memorable photo opportunity, decorative “Stay Trippy” flower beds, themed cafe fencing panels and a digitally printed backdrop.
Visitors can create their very own Minion-themed craft item to take home as a memory of their day out.

Photo Op Area
Located at the rear of the Minions: The Rise of Gru Activation is a photo op zone, giving visitors an opportunity to create some special memories as they hop into the Minions flower-power combi van themed space. The Combi Van photo zone features a 2m x 2.6m digitally-printed backdrop and a forme-cut Combi Van shaped standee. A selection of fun themed props will also be available.
The photo op zone is also available as a stand-alone space- perfect for meet & greet opportunities with our Minions characters.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Scavenger Hunt
The Where’s Gru? Scavenger Hunt lists 6 characters from the Minions: The Rise of Gru movie that customers must locate throughout your centre. The images match up with printed decals or standees that are hidden around the centre. Customers must note the location of the decals on the sheet, and return the completed sheet to the craft village or customer service desk to receive a Minions: The Rise of Gru take home gift.
