Santa’s Grand Arrival is the City of Melbourne’s public event bringing the launch into Christmas season underway. Showtime Attractions have been involved in this annual event since 2004 and continue to build and maintain a strong relationship at making every year bigger and better.

This annual event revolves around high -quality entertainment featuring some of our best known licensed characters such as Shrek and Madagascar Characters. Showtime Attractions partnered with Ready set go to produce this event. With the event requiring onstage entertainment, logistics, risk, technical and project management. 

Held in Bourke Street Mall, the heart of Melbourne, the main challenge of the event was to design, construct and manage a temporary venue for 3,000 within a busy public space. Logistics needed to be planned in so much detail as the aim was to provide the audience with a memorable Christmas experience meanwhile maintaining pedestrian flow around the event so that unrelated visitors could still access each of the retailers within the mall.
The City of Melbourne were extremely pleased with the result: their safest and smoothest Santa’s Grand Arrival in memory.
