Shrek is a 2001 computer-animated comedy film, produced by Jeffrey Katzenberg and starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and John Lithgow. Based on William Steig's 1990 fairy tale picture book Shrek!, the film was produced by DreamWorks Animation. Shrek was the first film to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, a category introduced in 2001. Shrek consists of following sequels Shrek 2 (2004), and Shrek the Third (2007). Shrek Forever After is currently in pre-production, aiming for release in 2010.
The film stars Mike Myers as a large, strong, solitude-loving, intimidating ogre named Shrek. Shrek also features Cameron Diaz as the beautiful but very down-to-earth and feisty Princess Fiona, Eddie Murphy as a talkative donkey named Donkey, and the mastermind cat, Puss in boots played by Antonio Banderas

It’s Shrek and Princess Fiona’s wedding anniversary and Fiona dreams of a romantic evening of dancing and music with her one true love… But her one true love Shrek has forgotten all about their special day. Overwhelmed by his new life of domestic chores and crying babies our friendly Ogre isn’t exactly in a romantic mood and instead stomps off to spend the day in peace and quiet alone in his swamp
Princess Fiona makes a heartfelt wish which is overheard by a Funky Fairytale Fairy who sets out to help. But when the Fairy’s magical powers prove ineffective on Ogres she must find another way to help Shrek plan a romantic celebration fit for a princess.
Shrek needs to find the love in his heart and learn to be romantic but even with his new friend the Funky Fairytale Fairy on his side; it’s going to take an ogre-sized effort. Can Shrek surprise Fiona with her perfect dream date? And will he discover love is just as sweet the second time around.

Activity Workshop
A chance for children to decorate their very own Shrek license kite that really flies!
This kite has been designed to look as thought Shrek is really flying through the air. Children are given their kite to colour the Shrek line art & embellish in their own imagination. Once finished children can show Shrek himself their masterpieces ready for high flying fun!
All equipment including kites and accessories are supplied with junior size table and chairs. There will be friendly uniformed staff to help and assist.
Meet and Greets
Everyone can come and meet Shrek and Fiona for a cuddle hand-shake or high-five. Everyone is welcome to take photos with the most favourite green ogre - Shrek.
