Noddy
Brand Background
Noddy is a character created by British children’s author Enid Blyton, originally published between 1949 and 1963. The television show based on the character is the longest running show in British television since 1955, and continues to appear to this day. Noddy is a television programme aimed at pre-school children, produced by Chorion, and currently airing around the globe. He actually made it onto TV as far back as 1955, when he featured in one of the first-ever children’s programmes, a black and white string-puppet series entitled The Adventures Of Noddy (a colour version, The Further Adventures Of Noddy, followed in the 1960’s). Noddy’s come a long way since then, and the latest series - Make Way For Noddy - boasts a hefty 100 episodes, and uses extremely handsome CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to create and animate Toy Town and all of its residents. Noddy is a little wooden boy (with a bobbly head and jingly hat) trying to make his way in the often rough-and-tumble world of Toy Town. He’s a well-meaning lad, but sometimes he doesn’t think things through and he is easily led - or tricked - into trouble. Most episodes follow Noddy as he deals with a specific problem or character.

Then he remembers that he was supposed to give Tessie Bear a ride in his red and yellow taxi because she was shopping for the party and would have some very heavy bags to carry. Noddy goes quickly to toy town to look for Tessie Bear… in the meantime Tessie Bear arrives home very hot, tired and cross… can Noddy make it up to Tessie Bear. He does come up with just the right idea to make Tessie Bear forgive him so they can have fun at the dance party.

Suddenly Big Ears has a great idea. Seeing as they are all here with the boys and girls and they already have their picnic baskets why not have the picnic here.
